Description
RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS SOLI CITATION W912C3-06-B-0004 1. The work hours specified in the contract are M-F 6am to 12m. Is there any possibility of also working Saturdays and Sundays? Answer: The contractor can work on Saturdays and Sundays after proper coordination. 2. How many inches of lightweight are required for the new drainage slopes at their top elevations? Answer: Section 1.3.1.1. b Contractor shall Modify roofing system to correct this situation (deficient roof drainage). i.e. the contractor shall determine the height needed to achieve the slope required for proper drainage. Construction specs seem to indicate the use of hot asphalt. Could you please specify whether it is hot or cold applied asphalt? Answer: Cold asphalt is a preferred alternative. 3. Given the climate conditions of PR, we are very sensitive and prone to sudden rainfall at any time during work hours. Even taking the necessary precautions, there is no way to avoid water in the metal deck from filtering down into the spaces. We could p rotect the equipment down below with polyethylene covers, but that still leaves open the possibility of damaged ceiling tiles. Should we add a provisional sum in case that these are affected or should that be dealt directly with the Contracting officer aft er the contract is awarded? Answer: Refer to paragraph 1.32 in the SOW. 4. According to Section 01110 part 1.11 all shop drawings will be submitted for approval after contract is awarded, before fabrication. Is this correct? Answer: Paragraph 1.11 states: after award of the contract, and before procurement of fabrication; submit to the Contracting Officer, all the shop drawings. 5. Can we have the make and model of the A/C that is to be lifted in order to determine the amount of weight, and necessary equipment to perform the work? Answer: A/C is a McQuay Package Unit, Model No.: LCA-360-HN2Y, 30 Tons
