- SUBJECT: MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR OXFORD INSTRUMENTS. DESC: Renewal of Oxford Support Maintenance Agreement for Oxford Instruments for the period 01-DEC-2006 to 30-NOV-2007. The U.S. Department of Energy???s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Oxford Instruments America Inc., Concord, MA 01742 for the annual renewal of maintenance for the Oxford Instruments. The equipment is located at our site at the, Albany Research Center, 1450 Queen Ave NW, Albany, OR. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13 will be used. This notice is for information purposes only. This request is considered to be sole source to the Oxford Instruments America Inc. because the software and equipment are proprietary and is the only vendor that can supply the maintenance. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firms ability to provide an equivalent as described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond to DE-RQ26-06NT00954 by 05:00 p.m. EST, September 27, 2006.
