Description

The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the removal and replacement of twenty-one (21) each side pads and head curtains and the removal and replacement of twenty one (21) dock bumpers as required by Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Ocean Terminal Division, Building CEP-201. The repair and removal of all items will include all labor and materials. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 12.1, Acquisition of Commercial Items - General. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors - $13.0M. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 15 September 2006. The proposed start date is date of award but not later than 29 September 2006. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is determined most advantageous to the Government. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.fedbizopps.gov as this office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
