Description

The Regional Contracting Office  Bavaria intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract with contract for weapons modifications of AR-M1 (AK-47 look-alike) Assault Rifles. The service is requested of the Teutoarms Company of Bad Oeynh ausen, Germany. The assault rifles currently fire live and blank ammunition. The rifles are used as training aides during Joint Multinational Readiness Center rotations. In order to more closely replicate conditions in OIF and OEF it is requested that t he contract COBS be permitted to maintain weapons throughout the training scenario. In order to achieve this state the current weapons must be modified to fire only blanks. In order to achieve this state the current weapons must be modified to fire only blanks and the process must make it impossible for the weapons to be re-converted to fire live ammo anymore. Vendors must be able to identify how to modify existing weapons. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firms technical capability to meet these requirements by 25 Septe mber 2006, 10:00AM German Local Time. See Note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 7 days instead of 45 days.
