Description
(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation FA4877-06-Q-0611 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-11, effective 05 July 2006. (iv) This procurement is being issued as a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE IAW FAR 19.502 (a). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423440 and the small business size standard 100 employees. (v) The Contractor shall provide the following items: LINE ITEM 0001 ? Two Each out door use, single faced, red LED message boards to replace existing boards. Display area: 29? H X 77? W. Resolution: 24X64 of 26mm (4R LEDs) @ 1.2? Pitch, up to 3 lines of 8.4? characters to 29? high one line of test, graphics and animation. Time and temperature display. Auto adjustment of brightness control. MSG line software package included. One telephone dial up modem 56K. Complete units for plug and play. Electrical and telephone line furnished by others. No installation or Set up on this line item. LINE ITEM 0002 Construct new metal cabinet, painted dark brown, to hold both boards as per picture attached and to allow easy access to service equipment; Attach serial cables to use a laptop at the boards for trouble shooting. New cabinet will mount on existing CMU block and graphics as shown. Interior lighting to illuminate translucent panels above. Translucent panel to be provided, no graphics required. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE SEPARATE BIDS FOR LINE ITEM ONE AND TWO. LINE ITEM TWO WILL ONLY BE AWARDED IF WITHIN FUNDING SCOPE. (vi) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ?
