- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The purchase request number is F3M0AW6236A3A and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) (iii) This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. (iv) This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 337127, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. (v) This requirement consists of nine Line Items: Line Item 0001: Pews (Qty: 36) Plain sliced Red Oak with medium stain. Pews should be made of solid oak except for seat bottom. Seat bottom may be oak or another type of sturdy wood. Fiberboard is not acceptable. Pew ends should be flat and smooth. The body of the pew should have contoured upholstered seats and a contoured solid oak back with out upholstery. No field joints. Upholstery must be individual removable sectionals on seat only. Sectionals should be removable and attachable by heavy duty velcro. They should not move or slide. Upholstery should cover entire seat with no wood showing in between. Sectional seat cushion size should be between 17 inches and 21 inches. Each sectional cushion must be equal in length per pew. Upholstery color: Burgundy. Supports should be 100% oak wood full length into back cap (under 31? not allowed). Cup card and pencil holders should be installed on back of pews. (See picture) Pews should also contain bookracks able to hold 4 books across. Books racks need to be solid wood including bottom of the rack, and be attached in a manner that the bottom will not fall out from the weight of 4 standard size bibles or hymnals. Each pew should be installed and fastened to the floor in such a way that it will support a person who uses the back of the pew to assist them in standing and not give way. At a minimum the pew must withstand 1,000 lbs dead weight pull on them. Kneelers should be made of oak wood with matching upholstered pad. Line Item 0002: Frontals Qty: (4) Material: Oak wood with same stain as pews. The frontals must be secured to the floor in such a way that they can withstand a minimum of 1,000 lbs without swaying, giving way or falling over. Line Item 0003: Lectern. Qty (1). Must have open shelving, no doors. Include 6? removable step. Plain design all around. Cannot have any religious symbols on it. Material: Oak wood with same stain as pews. Line Item 0004: Pulpit. Qty (1). Must have open shelving, no doors. Include 6? removable step. Plain design all around. Cannot have religious symbols on it. Material: Oak wood with same stain as pews. Line Item 0005: Matching flower stands. Qty (2). Must be strong enough to hold small statues. Material: Oak wood and same stain as pews. Line Item 0006: Presider Chair with arms. Qty (1). Material: Oak wood with same stain as pews. Plain design all around. Cannot have any religious symbols on it. Line Item 0007: Side Chairs Qty (2). Material: Oak wood with same stain as pews. Plain design all around. Cannot have any religious symbols on it. Line Item 0007: Sound Control Cabinet: Qty (1). Locking sound cabinet 6?-0?. Material: Oak wood with same stain as pews. (vi) Description: Fasteners: Concealed w/Oak molding and screw hold covers. Anchors: Concealed & adjustable for future flooring compression. Engineering: Must comply with standards set forth in Line Items above. Installation: Includes all materials necessary to properly install pews, kneelers, frontals and all other chapel furniture. Contractor must remove and dispose of all debris from all areas after installation. Area must be vacuumed after installation. Warranty: 25 years (Foam & Fabric 15 yrs). Note to contractors who attended site visit for cancelled combined synopsis/solicitation F3M0AW6236A3, pew dimensions remain the same. The awardee will need to coordinate upholstery, varnish color and pew style with customer. vii) All work will be conducted on Pope AFB. Installation of pews will begin no later than 8 January 2006 and be complete including clean up by 17 January 2006. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this solicitation. (ix) The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Paragraph (a) of FAR 52.212-2 is added to read: Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. (x) The provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The contractor shall be registered in the Online Representations and Certifications Application ? ORCA ? at http://orca.bpn.gov/. (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Paragraph (o) is changed to read: The contractor shall provide all standard commercial warranties to the government.
