- This is an Amendment to the COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION, Solicitation Reference Number N0016806RC83024. GSA/FSS Quotes are encouraged. CLOSING DATE: Is not amended. The below CLIN will be amended as follows: Description Quantity Unit of Issue From: Scanning of documents-300 dpi black and white (Estimated 2000 in each of 1000 boxes) 200,000 EA To Read: Scanning of documents-300 dpi black and white (Estimated 2000 in each of 100 boxes) 200,000 EA The following are additional Offeror Questions and Answers: Q5. Perhaps you could plan for a pre-bid vendor meeting? A5. No Pre-bid vendor meeting will be held. Q6. Is the quantity of pages 1000 x 2000 = 2,000,000 or is it 200,000? A6. Reference amendment to COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION The below CLIN will be amended as follows; under description. Q7. Are documents to be scanned black & white (binary) only, or are there grayscale or color pages as well? If so what portion is each? A7. Most are Black and White but some are color, but not more than ?. Q8. Are all of the pages letter size (8.5?x11?) or are there other sizes? If so, what portion is what size? A8. All are 8.5x11 Q9. Are the pages printed on one side (simplex) and both sides (duplex)? If both, what portion is each? A9. Both single and double sided (but not more than ?) Q10. What is the time frame in which you desire to complete the task? A10. 3 Months, Completed Q11. You State: Estimated 2,000 in each of 1,000 boxes. This is 2,000,000 pages not the 200,000 specified in the line items. Which is correct? Just how big are the boxes? X? by Y? by Z?? A11. See A6 Q12. You specify OCR which generally requires that the data extracted by typed in specific formats. How many formats are expected for these records? Optical Character Recognition (OCR) does not work on Doctors handwritten notes. What is your goal for OCR? A12. All Documents are typed, the goal is to find a specific group of words and protocol number. For example #B06-100 Q13. What is the delivery mechanism for the scanned data and index system? Disk, CD, Tape, Online A13. See Amendment 01, A1 Q14. You specify 1,000 the number of boxes as the index quantity. This implies an index by box. What are the indexing requirements? A14. 100 boxes 2000 pages per box, indexing represents the subject of the folder Q15. Will the government deliver these boxes to the contractor site and pick them up after scanning is completed?
