Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are due back 5 days from the RFQ date. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website at: www.fedbiz opps.gov for current status of solicitations and amendments. All quotes received from responsible sources will be considered by this office. All offerors will be ineligible for award unless they have registered in the DoD Contracting Registration database at http://www.ccr.gov. All offerors will also include a schematic for user to view transformer trailers - 30 FT Goose Neck Chassis trailers dimensions. The contract type will be a Firm Fixed Price and the RFQ due date is 22 Sep 2006. Quotes will not be acc epted after due date. This procurement is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336212. The solicitation number is W912HQ-06-T-0029. The following FAR provisions apply: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212 -4, 52.212-5, 52.252-2. This request is for four (4) Transformer Trailers 30 FT Goose Neck Chassis Trailers. Size: 30 FT, Single Drop Chassis Trailer Capacity Rating: 40,000 Pounds. General Characteristics: Fifth wheel height-48 nominal height. B olster flat height not to exceed 35 17.5 tires and H9700 Axles to meet 40,000 pound rating. Rectangular, tubul steel bolsters. Restraining and tie down system-bolsters: sides 50,000 PO each; front and rear-100,000 pounds each. Paint wheels and chass is from FED Standard 595B, Color Chip # 34088, Lusterless. MUD FLAPS-Plain Black, round lower edge, 5 inches of ground clearance and ABS.
