- The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Belvoir, VA intends to sole source firm fixed price commercial contract pursuant to to EMC Corporation, 8444 Westpark Drive, McLean, VA 22102-5102, pursuant to FAR Par t 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Under the contract, EMC will perform an upgrade of the existing EMC2 Environment (real-time on-line storage array system) at the U.S. Army 1st Info rmation Operations Command (LAND) (1st IO Cmd) using commercially available off-the-shelf equipment. The current storage array will be upgraded to create a robust Storage Area Network (SAN). EMC Professional Services will assist 1st IO Cmd to integrate E MC hardware and software, migrate data from existing equipment (CX700 series switch), and ensure that the data transferred is an exact duplicate as that on the original system. The estimated delivery date is 28 Sep 2006. The North American Industry Class ification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334112 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time, September 26th, 2006. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
