Description
CONTACT Mike Nicolich, System Engineer, 732-532-7309. The Department of the Army is conducting a market survey to seek potential sources to repackage the AEHF Secure Mobile Anti-Jam Reliable Tactical Terminal (SMART-T) in an up-armored High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) (M1152P1) and trailer (M1102) combination. Upon contract award, the prospective contractor shall determine the optimal layout, distribution and placement of the SMART-T terminal, ancillary equipment and personnel gear i n the HMMWV and trailer combination. The layout and distribution shall minimize the impact to mobility, transportability and environmental requirements. An analysis to include center-of-gravity and center-of-mass studies shall be performed on the proposed repackaging plan and layout to ensure minimal specification deviation. The prospective contractor shall ensure compliance with the Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical Terminal (SMART-T) Advanced EHF (AEHF) System Specification, A3281948 Revision E , MIL-STD-1582 (SECRET NOFORN), MIL-STD-188-136(SECRET NOFORN) and all other applicable AEHF terminal specifications including MIL-STD-188-AEHF (SECRET NOFORN) is retained. The Government does not have full disclosure rights to the SMART-T drawing package, therefore, the prospective contractor will need to obtain rights to the SMART-T drawing package from Raytheon Company, 1001 Boston Post Road, Marlborough, MA, the developer and manufacturer of the SMART-T. We request that sources capable of meeting the Go vernment's technical requirements provide information about its products and their ability to repackage and up-armor the SMART-T. Interested sources should submit a white paper detailing how the repackaging and up-armoring effort will be implemented. All i nformation shall be submitted no later than 20 October 2006.
