- This synopsis has been amended to include: A presolicitation conference will be held Thursday, 20 June 2006, 8:00 a.m. in the District Assembly Room of the New Orleans District, 7400 Leake Ave., New Orleans, LA 70118. All prospective offerors are in vited to attend. The U. S. Army, Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is soliciting proposals for Floodwalls and Structures within the New Orleans District. This procurement will be an Unrestricted Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ), single award contr act with a base year and an option to extend for two additional years. The total magnitude of construction for all task orders issued under this contract will be NTE $250,000,000.00. Task Orders for the construction of floodwalls consists of clearing and grubbing; selective demolition; excavation; driving steel sheet piling, steel H-piles, precast concrete square piles, steel pipe piles and timber piles; placement of reinforced concrete for T-walls, I-walls and L-walls; fabrication and installation of ste el swing or roller type gates; gates at railroad crossings, temporary railroad false work structures, associated railroad track work, removing and replacing roadway surfacing, placing compacted and semi-compacted embankment; fertilizing, seeding and mulchi ng, and other incidental work Accomplishment of this mission is anticipated to include, but is not limited to, general construction capabilities via a rapid response program. NAICS: 237990, FSC: Y299. RFP will be issued on or about 30 June 2006. Esti mated receipt of proposals will be 31 July 2006. Actual dates will be shown when the solicitation is issued. You are advised that FedTeDS currently does not have a Plan Holders List capability. However, you are encouraged, for marketing purposes, to register a s an Interested Vendor in FedBizOps (www.fbo.gov). This can be done by clicking on the solicitation title and clicking on the button that says Register as an Interested Vendor and entering your business information.
