- The U.S. Army, ARDEC-Picatinny is conducting a Market Survey to obtain highly specialized analytical, engineering and manufacturing support for the design, development, testing, demonstration and transition of innovative technology solutions to the challenges associated with the life cycle management of weapons and munitions. The investigation shall be in advanced material and novel technology areas, capabilities, manufacturing and material processes (i.e., nanotechnologies) for potential use with DoD weapons and munitions. This requirement shall provide support for the RDECOM-ARDEC Nanotechnologies Development Program as follows: Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) Concept Development with Fuze and Other Electronic System Development Applications --- Prototype Development, Testing and Manufacture Nanotechnology/Nanomaterials Applications Development for Novel Materials for Armor Systems --- Prototype Development, Testing and Manufacture Advanced Nanotechnology Material Processing/Manufacturing Methods and Capabilities for Silicon and Metallic-based Nanomaterials The government intends to award a contract on a sole source basis. Respondents should have the sufficient capability to furnish these requirements to the U.S. Army. Interested firms, who feel they are capable, are invited to indicate their interest by providing to the U.S. Army a brief summary of their company???s capabilities including a brief description of facilities, personnel, and past experience. Interested firms shall provide the name, address, point of contact with telephone number and email address. The Market Survey is for planning purposes only and should not be construed as a request for proposal or an obligation on the part of the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contact on the basis of this Market Survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide shall only be used by the U.S. Army in developing its acquisition approach for future life cycle management of weapons and munitions. See Numbered Note 22.
