- Q1700070612. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about October 26, 2006. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Telephone, fax, or email requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The work of this contract consists of waterproofing and installing foundation drainage for an apartment building and two attached garages within the Schoodic Division of Acadia National Park. The work includes removal of portions of brick sidewalk, fence poles and posts, vegetation, and bituminous concrete drives. Excavation and removal of existing membrane waterproofing and surface preparation. Installation of new liquid applied waterproofing membrane. Installation of composite drainage material, perforated drainage pipe, yard drains, gutter drains, aggregate filter aggregate wrapped in filter fabric, and backfill. Reinstallation of removed walks, fencing, and vegetation. Repaving removed portions of bituminous concrete drives. The performance period of this contract is 30 days. The contractor may request winter shut down due to weather conditions. All work must be completed by May 31, 2007. NAICS 238390 Other Building Finishing Contractors. This solicitation is set aside for HubZone businesses. Estimated price is under $100,000. A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 10:00 am. Meet at the entrance gate to the Schoodic Education and Research Center in Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor, Maine. Hard copy quote documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic quote documents will be accepted). Quotes must be received at Acadia National Park, P. O. Box 177, Route 233, McFarland Hill, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 by close of business on November 28, 2006. A complete quote package shall include one copy of completed SF 18, Request for Quotation, with original signature; completed quote schedule; and completed section K, Representations and Certifications.
