- NAICS Code: 339111 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Affymetrix GeneChip Inc., 3420 Central Expressway, Santa Clara, CA 95051 for the acquisition of Affymetrix GeneChip Scanner. The Genechip Scanner 3000 7G is a product extension of the GeneChip Scanner 3000 series that allows next-generation higher density arrays, enabling new applications for genotyping with up to 500,000 SNP, tiling arrays for transcription, and all exon arrays for whole-genome analysis. The New Genechip Scanner 300 7G incorporates advanced design improvements with space-saving. speed, superior performance, and lower scanner-to-scanner variation to dramatically improve throughput and efficiency in your genetic analysis. The new scanner provides improved auto-focus, more accurate gridding, and more consistent scanner-to-scanner biological performance, improving data integrity and data sharing between researchers. (1) The GeneChip Scanner 3000 7G has been designed to accommodate future advancements in GeneChip probe array technology:(2) Combined to integrate with the GeneChip AutoLoader, the GeneChip AutoLoader, the GeneChip Scanner 3000 7G provides sample tracking, temperature control, and walk-away freedom from scanning: (3) The computer workstation features dual Xeon processors, loaded with GenChip Operating Software (GCOS). Includes a one-year service agreement and necessary upgrades. This is an upgrade to the existing Affymetrix Scanner and therefore EPA has identified Affymetrix Inc.,The only vendor capable of satisfy the requirement. The circumstance permitting is FAR 13.106(B) "only one source reasonably available". The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to provided the aforementioned data and instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties who can meet the above requirements may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability no later than 10 days after the date of this publication.
