Description
Under the authority of FAR 13.5, the U.S. Army, REDCOM, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army  Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order to Med-Eng Systems Inc., 2400 St. Laurent Blvd. Ottawa, Ontario, CA K1G 6C4. This is for the purchase of four (4) - undrilled EOD9 helmet shells, three (3) - EOD9 standard helmet visors, five (5) - EOD 9 chest plates with soft armor backing shootpack that simulates the jacke t (minimum size of backing coverage for entire chest plate), five (5)  EOD9 collar (center/front) with three (3) steel collar inserts per shootpack with soft armor backing that simulates collar backing (minimum size: the soft armor shootpack shall provide enough backing coverage for all three (3) steel collar inserts and steel collar inserts shall be stitched in position inside the shootpack), four (4)  EOD9 jacket shootpack that simulates front sides, left and right (minimum size: 15 x 15), four (4)  EOD9 jacket shootpacks that simulates rear sides, left and right (minimum size: 15x15), four (4)  EOD9 integrated groin protector shootpack that simulates soft armor containe in the rear side of the IGP (minimum size: 15 x 15), six (6)  EOD9 leg shoo tpack that simulates front above knee (minimum size: 15 x 15), and six (6)  EOD9 leg shootpack that simulates the front below the knee (minimum size: 15 x 15). These items are needed by 30 October 2006. This item is being purchased to test and evaluat e as these items have qualities that the government would like to examine further.
