Description
The Army Contracting Agency Information Technology, Commercial Contracting & Electronic Commerce Center (ITEC4), Alexandria, VA, intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Firm Fixed Price contract for replacement components of the C ombat Service Support Automated Information System Interface (CAISI) system. The procurement is for about 13,000 kits. Kits are defined as 1 ea multifunction outdoor radio that uses IEEE 802.11 a/h for long distance; 1 ea manageable 10/100 Ethernet switch; 2 ea antenna with N male connector; 1 ea Omni antenna; 1 ea directional or sectional antenna; 2 ea radio frequency jumper cable; 2 ea CAT5E 70 ft long Ethernet patch cable; 1 ea CAT5E 3 ft long Ethernet patch cable; 2 ea load resister; 1 ea Uninterruptibl e Power Supply; 1 ea grounding strap set; and 1 ea transit case. The Government may purchase items as kits or separately. The Government anticipates a need of about 80 kits in FY 07 and 2,600 kits per year starting in FY 08 and ending in FY 12. The assigned solicitation umber is W91QUZ-07-R-0002. Format will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12 supplemented with additional information. Selection factors for award will be Technical Capability of the Items, Price, and Pas t Performance. The technical evaluation will be a two tier process. The first tier will consist of an evaluation of specifications, certifications and any other pertinent literature provided as part of the proposals. This first tier evaluation, together wi th Past Performance and Pricing, will be used to establish a competitive range. At least three offerors will be selected for the competitive range. The second tier will involve laboratory and field tests. Offerors within the competitive range will be requi red to provide seven kits for testing. The selection for award will be based on the results of the second tier evaluation. Anticipate posting of the solicitation on or about 15 November 2006. NAICS code is 517910  Other Telecom.
