Description
CONTACT Barbara Johns,Logistics Management Specialist,732-532-3032. Title: GUADRDRAIL WJ Receiver Support. CECOM/GUADRAIL weapon system teams plans to enter into an agreement for support of the GUARDRAIL for all WJ receivers that are part of the GUA RDRAIL weapon systems. This contract will be a 5 year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract that will be for acquisition of spare parts, repair of failed units, technical support and field service support. We are aware of problems of obsolescen ce and require the contractor to provide solutions to enable sustainment of this equipment. The contractor will also be responsible to maintain the relevance of the equipment to combat vanishing vendor issues. The contractor will be asked to maintain an in ventory of spares to meet a turn around time of 48 hours for any failures of the equipment. The equipment includes, WJ8604-1, WJ 9104 (or its replacement), WJ8654-A-1, WJ 8700, WJ 9547, WJ 9548-2, WJ 9912, WJ 9912/intf and all associated equipment to these items. The USG does not hold the rights to any drawing beyond a top level and the OEM holds proprietary rights to data on these items. There is no technical data that can be shared for this equipment. The government wants responses only from offerors tha t can directly repair, build and provide technical support for these items. We will not entertain any company offering a pass through to the OEM for support. All interested parties considering submission in support of this request for technical support sho uld submit a white paper no greater than 10 pages in length and should include at a minimum the following information: 1) Provide evidence of the contractors facilities and experience with specific equipment and availability of test equipment and faciliti es to support this particular equipment type. 2) Provide evidence of past performance on this particular equipment in support of GUARDRAIL weapon system. 3) Respondents may offer white papers on a total support approach or on any subset of this support req uirement. This documentation may be mailed to US Army, Commander CECOM, AMSEL-LC-IEWS-R-GR, Building 1201W, Fort, Monmouth, NJ 07703-5211 to the attention of Barbara Johns.
