- Title: WICKET GATE SERVOMOTOR REFURBISHING Issue: 24 October 2006 Due: 31 October 2006 Specialist: Frank Gutierrez, 503.808.4626 Tech POC: Mike Adams, 541.506.7809 The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) service contract to a contractor able to provide all supervision, personnel, equipment (except government furnished containers), tools, and materials ne cessary to perform Wicket Gate Servomotor Refurbishing. Detailed requirements and existing features of the servomotor assemblies are included in the attached informational drawings. The contractor shall transport each servomotor assembly to his shop, dis assemble, perform an as-received condition assessment, propose repair methods, effect repairs, document as-repaired dimensions, test, return to The Dalles Dam, approve installation by government, and witness first extension and retraction. Each turbine ha s a left-hand and a right-hand servomotor. The servomotors shall be refurbished as a pair. The contractor shall return the first pair of servomotors no later than six 6) weeks after contact award. If the government chooses to exercise any optional pairs , they would be sent out sequentially. Only one pair of servomotors will be refurbished at a time. Optional pairs shall also be returned no later than six (6) weeks after contract modification is issued. Any optional work awarded on each pair of servomo tors shall not extend the return date. The Dalles Dam is located on the Columbia River 88 miles east of Portland, Oregon. The contractor shall be responsible for all transportation. Costs for shipping shall be included in the bid price. The Contractor shall notify the Tech POC at The Dalles Dam five (5) calendar days prior to delivery of the servomotors. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811310, with a small business standard size of $6 million in vo lume. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The administrative/contracting Point of Contact (POC) is Frank Gutierrez, (503) 808-4626. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on the US Army Corps of Engineers In ternet Web Site on or about 24 October 2006, and the quote is due on or about 31 October 2006, at 1:00PM (PST). Responses received after that date may not be considered. Responses to the RFQ should include the company name, street address, city, state, c ountry, zip code or postal code, POC, POC telephone, and e-mail address. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, they must be approve d and registered in the Central Contractor Registration, at website www.ccr.gov before award can be made.
