Description

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to award a sole source fixed price IDIQ contract to MPD Security, Inc. of Milledgeville, Georgia, for Security Guard Services at the Office of Personnel Management, 4685 Log Cabin Drive, Macon, Georgia, for a two month performance period November 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006. The contractor shall provide management, supervision, fully trained physically fit personnel, equipment and supplies necessary to provide professional armed guard services 24 hours 7 days per week. This follow-on award to MPD Security, Inc. is intended to minimize costs to the Government that are not expected to be recovered through competition and avoid unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency?s requirement during the planning and processing of a competitive five-year re-procurement contract. This synopsis is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal and no solicitation is available. Telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded based on quotes/offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government for this two month period of performance. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
