Description
The 96 Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, FL intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for a F-15 tail stand . This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number is F1T0CW6293A100. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is a small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 336999, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This requirement is for CLIN 0001, QTY (1) STAND, F15 TAIL. SPECIFICATIONS: F15 TAIL STAND FABRICATED USING TUBULAR STEEL FRAME, WITH TREAD GRIP DECK WORK SURFACE. DECK CONFIGURED IN A "U" SHAPE TO SURROUND VERTICAL STABILIZERS (EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT)SIDE WITH PADDED SLIDERS TO SLIDE OUT AND SNUG UP AGAINST TAIL SURFACE TO INSURE OBJECTS DON'T FALL TO STRIKE OTHER PARTS OF THE AIRCRAFT BELOW (HORIZONTALS). SLIDERS ARE PROVIDED WITH SOFT RUBBER SNUBBERS TO PREVENT TOUCHING OF AIRCRAFT SURFACE TO MAR OR DAMAGE. EASY TYPE POSITIONING STANDS FOR ROUND AIRCRAFT TAIL AND ROLL WITH 4 LARGE HEAVY DUTY POLYURETHANE TREAD CASTERS (LARGE SIZE). FOUR STABILIZER JACKS (ONE NEAR EACH CASTER) TO INSURE ONCE IN PLACE THE STAND CAN BE LEVELED AND HELD SECURE WHILE WORKERS ARE ON THE STAND. WORK DECK WITH 4 INCH HIGH STEEL TOE KICK BAN WHERE THE DECK MEETS STRUT STAIRS AND LANDING. SLIDERS REQUIRE "P" BUMPERS TO PROTECT SURROUNDING SURFACES. STAND REQUIRES SAFETY SCREEN APPROXIMATELY 19 INCHES HIGH TO SURROUND THE WORK PLATFORM TO PREVENT DECK ITEMS FROM BEING KICKED OVERBOARD. STEEL HAND TOP AND MID RAILS TO PREVENT MECHANICS FROM FALLING ALONG STAIRS AND PLATFORM. STAND IS MOBILE. STAND TO BE SECURED WITH TWO STABILIZER SCREW JACKS WHILE NEAR AN AIRCRAFT TAIL ASSEMBLY. WORK DECK REQUIRES 2 EACH AIR "PIGS" WITH MULTIPLE QUICK DISCONNECT OUTLETS. TAIL STAND REQUIRES 2 EACH 110 VOLT RECEPTABLES AND 2 EACH FLUORESCENT LIGHT FIXTURES TO BURN AT COOLER TEMPERATURE. STAND IS PLUMBED WITH AIR TO 2 EACH "T" OUTLET ON TOP DECK FITTED WTIH QUICK DISCONNECTS. 2 EACH 120 VOLT ELECTRICAL OUTLETS ON THE WORK DECK. ELECTRICAL CONDUIT AND AIR LINES MUST COME DOWN ONE LEG OF THE STAND AND TERMINATE AT WORKING LEVEL SO SHOP AIR AND ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE CONNECTED. STANDS PAINTED IN MILITARY GREEN SUPERTHANE PAINT AND ARE MIL 5606 HYDROLICH RESISTANT. STAIR TREADS INCREASED TO 28 INCHES IN WIDTH TO PROVIDE MORE ROOM GOING UP AND DOWN STAIRS.
