Description
BILINGUAL TRANSPORTATION LNO CONTRACTS The purpose of these contracts is to continue providing the services of a transportation liaison to the countries of Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria. The primary mission for this position is to provide transportation movement i nformation and movement control guidance for US transports transiting the countries mentioned above and the ability to communicate this information using the host nations language. The transportation movement information is processed by receiving transit requests for surface movements (Road and rail), the liaison will review these requests and pass this information to the appropriate host nation counterpart(s) within established timeframes by every country. If any problems occur during the processing of th ese documents, the liaison will develop, recommend, and execute courses of action to resolve the issue(s), avoiding unnecessary delays for movements in support of the US forces and other government agencies. The liaison will provide reports for mission sta tus when required, be constantly on call and be able to monitor the status of existing bi-lateral transit agreements and communicate any changes to the 21st TSC. The liaison will also share situational updates, deconflict overlapping efforts, coordinate host nation support when required and insure a proper host nation response to all transit requests processed. Identifies particular trends and makes recommendation s to improve the US forces operational capabilities based on reports received from the appropriate country. The liaison will be the primary point of contact for host nation authorities and other local agencies to discuss matters related to transiting US mo vements. The liaison will perform periodic site visits and participate in meetings with the host nation and US elements to discuss specific requirements and to ensure the continuity of a good working professional relationship. The liaison will maintain con stant contact with the appropriate host nation authorities and the United States diplomatic representatives (DAO, ODC, RSO) to facilitate the transit of movements in support of the US forces and other government agencies. .
