Description

THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. THIS PROJECT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE OFF (PPTO) SOLICITATION. FOR QUESTIONS CONCERNING THIS AD VERTISEMENT, PLEASE CONTACT MRS. MARIE KLUSMAN BY FAX AT 251-694-3626. In general, the work shall consist of the following: Construct a 31,000 square foot Security Forces Facility. The work will include concrete foundations and floor slabs, masonry walls, stucco exteriors, metal roof systems, fire detection and suppression, HVAC, elevator, emergency power, utilities, parking, site improvements, O&M manuals and other required support. Work also includes anti terrorism/force protection physical security in compliance with DOD minimum construction standards. The North America n Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220. Solicitation/bid documents should be available on or about 4 December 2006. Estimated cost range of the project is from $5,000,000 to $12,000,000. Mr. Edward M. Slana is the Contr acting Officer for this project. Note No. 1: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Mobile District Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will n o longer be used to post solicitations. The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS), is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information.
