- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for repair services for an estimated annual quantity of 42 each Klystron Tubes, NSN 5960-00-464-9605, Communications and Power Industries' part number VA87W and/or L-3 Communication Corporation's part number L6068. These tubes are applicable to the Airport Surveillance Radars (ASR8 and ASR9), which are an integral part of the Air Traffic Control System. Repairs will be made in accordance with FAA Standards, FAAD-STD-1362C, Dispenser Cathode "S" Band Klystron Tube, dated 3/10/98 and FAA-STD-1293d, Servicing Standards and Test Requirements for Ground Electronic Equipment, dated 9/21/06. Responsible sources must maintain an auditable Quality Management System (QMS) containing all elements of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard. Applicable IC workmanship standards shall be followed. Requirements include option provisions to renew for four additional 1-year periods. The proposed contract will incorporate Clause 3.2.4-34, Option to Extend Services, and Clause 3.2.4-35, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. All interested sources must submit requests for the Request for Offer (RFO) in writing to e-mail Connie.M.Houpt@faa.gov by 2:00 p.m. CST Wednesday, November 15, 2006. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the Government.
