- Description
- The Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Ovid Technologies Ltd., 333 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10001, under the authority of FAR 6.302. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 519120 and the business size standard is $6.5M. The contractor will provide online service for access to existing databases, journals and textbook subscriptions to all sites within VISN 5. Period of performance will be 1/1/07 through 12/31/07 with 4-1 option years. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, interested parties have until 4:00 PM local time, November 21, 2006 to submit, in writing, their interest, qualifications/capabilities, and literature, detailing how their online subscription services will meet VA requirements to the contracting office or by fax 304-264-3997. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, the VA will proceed with the sole source procurement.
