- The NAVAIR LKE Voyage Repair Team (Norfolk site) has an immediate requirement for the initiation/award of a Coverall Uniform Service Contract. In response, enclosed is a Statement of Work required to support this contractual requirement. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation; this announcement consitututes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Please note the following information: 1). This is a 5 year contractual requirement. (One year with the option for renewal each subsequent year. 2). The initial requested Period of Performance for this contract will be 01 January 2007 to 31 December 2007. Subsequent Option Years, should they be exercised, will follow the same time frame for the next four(4) years. 3). General Provisions: The contractor shall provide coverall(s) cleaning and repair services in support for 46 people employed by the NAWC AD/LKE Voyage Repair Team (VRT). The scope of service will entail initial issuance of new coveralls, manufacture and sew employee name on each coverall, install (Government furnished) NAVAIR VRT logo patches, provide cleaning services, and the replacement of worn and extensively damaged coveralls. Vendor will pickup and deliver coveralls to the NAWC AD/LKE VRT, Building LF53, (located aboard the Norfolk Naval Station) on a routine weekly basis. All pickups and deliveries will be performed during the hours of 06:30 ? 15:00, Monday ? Friday. The VRT point of contact for all deliveries will be Patrick Jackson, who may be reached at 757 444-6792. The following is an itemization of required services: ? Provide 65/35 Polyester/Cotton Blend Coveralls in support of 40 artisans. (Level of support required for each trade: 11 sets of coveralls per mechanic, 7 sets of coveralls for electricians, 5 sets of coveralls for a rigger, and 3 sets of coveralls for Quality Assurance & Engineering Technicians). Clean, repair, and replace coveralls as required. Note: Vendor will be responsible to perform onsite fitting and or measuring of employees for the initial outfitting of coveralls. (CLIN 0001) ? Provide Cotton Coveralls. Clean, repair, and replace coveralls as required in support of 6 welders. (Level of support required is 11 sets of coveralls per welder). Note: Vendor will be responsible to perform onsite fitting and or measuring of employees for initial outfitting of coveralls. (CLIN 0002) All weekly Environmental and/or Service Charges, manufacturing and sewing empoyees Name Emblems on each coverall, sewing of customer provided Organizational Logo on each logo, and replacement and prep charges of coveralls must be incorporated into the unit price for the above CLINS. Companies will need to be within a 200 mile radius of the base in order to qualify for consideration of this requirement.
