Description
SCOPE OF WORK FOR DOOR LOCKS UPGRADE 1. Introduction 1.1. The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, supplies and equipment to provide installation of electronic lock system in accordance with this Scope Of Work (SOW) at building 107 (UEPH) of U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West, 100 Trumbo Rd. Key West, FL 33040. 2. Background 2.1. The goal of U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West is to maintain the highest level of security in all federal buildings in a manner that ensures the safety and security of federal employees, members of the public and their personal belongings. 3. Summary 3.1. U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West is soliciting for contract to upgrade the current lock system in place for the residents of building 107, Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH). The goal is to simplify the task of creating a secure living space for residents while maintaining proper security and access of common spaces. 4. Hardware 4.1. The contractor shall furnish the following items: 1. Exterior Residence Electronic Door Locks (45) a. Stainless steel b. Heavy duty hardware c. Mechanical key override (Must fit ?Best Lock? cylinder cores, do not provide cores.) d. Contractor shall provide samples of available handle styles with contract bid. Style to be used will be determined prior to awarding contract 2. Smart Card electronic resident key cards (1,500) 3. Memory Cards (25) 4. Computer a. All hardware and cables b. All necessary software 5. Keycard Encoder Station and power supply 6. Emergency Lock Power Supply 7. Lock programmer / interrogator 8. Manuals, Information etc. 4.2. The contractor shall supply all necessary tools to complete work 4.3. The contractor shall supply materials as necessary to prevent mess and damage of surrounding areas, such as drop cloths, tape, etc. All areas must be returned to a clean, normal working condition when work is complete. 5. Installation 5.1. The contractor shall accomplish these services for all the areas listed below in a timely manner. Hours of work are from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. 1. Resident Living Quarters (42) 2. Laundry Facility Doors (3) 5.2. The following task list was generated for this effort 1. Remove existing door handles and hardware 2. Modify door and jamb as necessary 3. Install electronic locks and all required hardware 4. Test new locks to ensure proper function/security 5. Install all other hardware/software required for system operation 6. Upon completion, conduct training with Housing staff on proper usage and programming of system 6. Completion 6.1. All tools, equipment, scraps, left-over material must be removed upon completion of work 6.2. Refuse resulting from this work only may be placed in dumpsters provided at U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West. 6.3. U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West requires inspection and approval upon completion of work.
