Description

Notice of Intent - Sole Source a. The 10th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Suros Surgical Systems, Inc. The requirement is to purchase a variety of ATEC Sapphire Breast Biopsy and Excision System supplies for biopsies performed under MRI, Ultrasound and Mammographic stereotactic guidance. The supplies being purchased include various sized localization sets, needles, biopsy site identification markers and suction canisters. The ATEC Sapphire Breast Biopsy and Excision System and its required products are the only system used by the United States Air Force Academy Hospital at this time. The system is manufactured by SUROS Surgical Systems and other companies are not authorized to sell their products. Therefore, Suros Surgical Systems, Inc. is considered the only source that can satisfy the government?s requirements. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 339113 and the size standard is 500. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by 10MSG/LGCB. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. b. Any company that feels they have items that meet the needs of the Government must submit their technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis.
