Description

This is a notice of Intent to Award sole source procurement to Castles K-9 Inc., to provide the following: (1) Canine (K-9) trained for Explosives Detection, initial handler training and monthly refresher training; Certification of the K-9 and handl er with North American Police Dog Association (NAPAWDA), vehicle insert to house K-9 in the patrol vehicle; all necessary equipment and training aids, veterinary care, kenneling, dog food, and services for the canine, provided at the vendors facility. The K-9 will be used daily, and must be available on a 24/7 basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561612 and the size standard is $11,500,000. Only one responsible source exists for this service that will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase will be done under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition, as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a re quest for competitive proposals. However; all proposals received within 15 days after date of this publication will be considered by the government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determinati on not to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
