Description

With this announcement, the Chicago District Corps of Engineers issues a Pre-solicitation Notice for its UNION STREET AREA STORM SEWER PROJECT. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all the necessary facilities, plants, labor, transportati on ion, materials, and equipment for construction of approximately 3,500 lineal feet of storm sewer ranging in diameter from 12 inches to 48 inches including structures to facilitate combined sewer separation and provide for area and street storm water dra inage. Work includes field office, right-of-way clearing, maintenance of traffic, surface removal and replacement, excavation, bedding, backfill, temporary erosion control, water and sewer main, service line adjustments and extensions and site restoration. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry System (NAICS) 237110, Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction, this acquisition is UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) Package will be d ownloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Interested Bidders can download the IFB Package from the Internet Site https: // www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912P6-07-B-0002. The solicitation will be available at the above-mentioned Internet site on or about 30 November 2006. The due date for bids will be on or about 18 January 2 007 at 2:00 PM Chicago Local Time. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at h ttp //www.ccr.gov. The Government intends to award a FIRM-FIXED PRICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT.
