Description

The National Park Service intends to issue a prospectus for proposals for the sale of pre-cut and bundled firewood and kindling at the White River and Ohanapecosh Campgrounds within Mount Rainier National Park. The existing Concession Permit between the National Park Service and the existing Concessioner expires on December 31, 2006, or until such time as a new Concession Contract is awarded, whichever occurs first. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The length of the new Contract will be for ten (10) years. Any offer, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the Concessions Program Manager, National Park Service, Pacific West Region, 1111 Jackson Street, Suite 700, Oakland, CA 94607 no later than sixty-one (61) days from November 9, 2006 in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a Concession Contract. The prospectus will be issued on November 9, 2006, for a 61-day response period under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due on January 9, 2007, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). There is a printing cost recovery charge of $50 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $40 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service; and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
