Description
NASA/KSC has a requirement for a digital oscilloscope. The required salient characteristics/functionality are listed below: ?Provide a maximum sampling rate of 5 GS/s simultaneously on four channels for memory length selections from 10 points to 5 million points and 10 GS/s maximum sampling rate on two channels for memory length selections from 10 points to 10 million points. ?Display these four channels simultaneously on four separate grids that allow each channel to maintain full dynamic range of its 8 bit Digitizer. This provides increased vertical and horizontal parameter measurement accuracy without compromising waveform viewing. ?Display and make parameter measurements with statistics on more than a single pulse/waveform. This feature is required to make accurate average, maximum, minimum and standard deviation measurements. ?Perform and display the results of four math functions and also view each channel. ?Dual math function to allow for eight math functions to be performed automatically with each trigger. ?Fully integrated open Windows XP operating system to provide bi directional communication between the digital oscilloscope DSO Program and third party Windows application software loaded on the WR64Xi internal hard drive, eliminating the need for processing in another PC (remote control will be achieved via Windows Automation). These Windows based application software packages can be used to control DSO settings and results can be returned to the digital oscilloscope DSO for further processing.
