- Description
- The U.S. Department of Transportation, John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center), Cambridge, MA intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract for on-site property, logistics and administrative support services with a base period of 12-months and four (4) 1 year options (60-month total period of performance). The Contractor shall perform required service in the areas of stockroom operations, inventory management, receiving and storage, shipping, mail management, material handling, motor pool, personal property management, meeting facility management, multimedia support, and day to day operational contract management. The solicitation is being set-aside as a competitive 8(a) and will be solicited pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.805 Competitive 8(a) Procedures and FAR 15 Contracting by Negotiation. The North American Industry Classification Systems Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 541614 and the Small Business size standard is $6.5 million. The solicitation and any document related to this procurement will be available on the Internet. These documents will be available in text format and reside on a WWW server which may be accessed using Web browsers. Offeror?s that desire to receive electronic notification of the solicitations posting and availability for downloading may register at the Volpe Center site. Contractors are warned that when they register to receive solicitations, amendments and other notices, the responsibility for providing the Government with an accurate and complete e-mail address lies with the contractor. The Government will make no additional efforts to deliver information when the system indicates that transmissions cannot be delivered to the e-mail address provided. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Telephone requests will not be honored. NOTE: All contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive award from a DOT Agency. Contractors may access the site at http://www.ccr.gov to register and/or obtain information about the registration process. Additionally, solicitation Representation and Certifications are no longer provided within the solicitation and must be submitted on-line through On-Line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). ORCA is a web based system that centralizes and standardizes the collection, storage and viewing of the Representations and Certifications required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Potential offerors are highly encouraged to complete the on-line provisions within the Representations and Certifications at https://orca.bpn.gov. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
