- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR FABRICATION OF THE SUB-SCALE J-2X INDUCER TEST RIG. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions asked before the due date. 1. Question: On drawings MED02306, MED02315, MED02317, MED02319, and MED02321, the request calls for installation of only certain find numbers. Are the remaining find numbers to be fabricated, purchased, or ignored? Answer: The remaining find numbers in these assemblies may be ignored and should not be provided by the vendor. 2. Question: The vendor assumes that drawings MED02312, MED02313, and MED02314 are provided for reference only and that MSFC will provide all fasteners and perform all assembly. Is this assumption correct? Answer: Yes. 3. Question: Drawing MED02302, Note 2 and MED02454, Note 7. Does MSFC have a preferred vendor for the balancing? Answer: No. 4. Question: Drawing MED02303, Note 2 and MED02454, Note 2. For the UT inspection, is industry standard MIL STD 2154 an acceptable substitution for MSFC STD 1249? Answer: Yes. 5. Question: We did not find drawing MED00519-1, Dummy Transducer which appears as a part on the drawing MED02315 part's list. Answer: No drawing needed. MED00519-1 is not required as part of MED02315-1. See RFQ details/deliverables list for specific find numbers to include or ignore. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on November 8, 2006. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
