Description

Work consists primarily of supplying, placing and grading approximately 4000 cubic yards of fill material (sand) into approximately 7 acres of marsh habitat, to prepare the site for future marsh vegetation plantings (to be acomplished under a separat e contract). Other work includes modifying existing stone dike by removing upper 2 foot thick layer of stone and stockpiling the stone within a designated onsite location, and developing and removing a temporary construction access route to the site. Est imated magnitude of work is $25,000 - $100,000. Request for Quotation (RFQ) is expected to be available on/about 28 November 2006 BUT MAY BE DELAYED. Quotations will be due approximately 2 weeks after RFQ is issued. RFQ will be posted on the secure Gover nment web site known as FedTeDS. Access to the solicitation documents on FedTeDS shall be via a hyperlink inserted into the notice posted on the FedBizOpps (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov) once the solicitation is issued. Viewing/downloading documents from Fe dTeDS SHALL require prior registration in Central Contractor Registration database (www.ccr.gov) AND IN FedTeDS (www.fedteds.gov) before accessing the solicitation documents. The RFQ WILL NOT BE PROVIDED IN HARD PAPER COPY. It is the responsibility of th e Contractor to check this web site and FEDTEDS FREQUENTLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS OR CHANGES TO THE SOLICITATION.
