Description
Procurement is for proposed contract for work and services in connection with Flood Control Channels and Basins Maintenance & Groundskeeping Services, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, which covers approximately 50 miles of earthfil l and concrete channels within the Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, California. The proposed contract services include (but are not limited to) the following: Removal and disposal of all manner of debris from the channels, weep holes, side drains, flap gates, storm drains sides and bottom of flood control channel to ensure an unrestricted flow of water; pest control and removal dead animals from flood control channels and dam basins, vegetation cutting/pruning removal and disposal alon g access roads to flood control channels and along banks to channels; policing/trash pick-up flood control channels. The proposed contract will be for one base year and 4 option years. This procurement will be conducted under FSC Code: S208, SIC Code: 73 49, NAICS Code: 561990. The size standard for this code is $6.5 Million. The estimated cost range of this proposed contract if all the options are exercised is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE PROCUREMENT. Offer ors will be required to submit a technical proposal with a separate price proposal. The Government will select the lowest priced, technically acceptable (LPTA) offer. The significant evaluation factor that will be used for evaluation of the technical pro posal is Past Performance. The contracting officer may award based on initial offers received without discussions. The anticipated award date is on or about January 10, 2007. ALL OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. ORDERING SOLICITATION: The solicitation will be available on or about Dec 4, 2006. Plans and specifications will not be provided in hard paper copy. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website k nown as FedTeDS. Access to the solicitation documents on the FedTeDS website will be via a hyperlink. The hyperlink will be inserted into the notices for this acquisition posted on both the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website (https://acquisition .army.mil/asfi/) and the FedBizOpps (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov) once the solicitation is issued.
