Description
This announcement is to provide notification that the Department of Veterans Affairs in Cincinnati, OH intends to enter into a sole source contract with Hemarex, Inc. for Intraoperative Blood Salvage/Intraoperative Autotransfusion Service.    The base period is date of award through September 30, 2007, with four one-year option years.  This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 13.501 (a), Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, in conjunction with Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 and the Small Business Size Standard (SIC) is 500 employees. This requirement will be awarded on an unrestricted basis.  Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the service.   This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within five days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  If no responses are received the Veteran Affairs in Cincinnati, OH, will proceed with the action.   No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted.   Information can be sent to Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Attn: Timothy J.
