- Description
- Please go to http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/ssn/sources.htm to obtain a copy of the Market Survey. The Product Manager, Combat Engineer/Materiel Handling Equipment intends to procure many vehicle systems in the upcoming years, all of which will contain diesel cycle engines. The U.S. Army is currently using, and will continue to use, JP-8 fuel for the f oreseeable future, and the fuel will contain up to 3000 ppm sulfur. The new EPA regulations being implemented now and in the near future require emissions equipment that may or may not be compatible with this high-sulfur fuel. The purpose of this questio nnaire is to aid in determining how non-road commercial diesel engine technology (designed to satisfy the EPAs Tier III and IV emission requirements) is affected by high sulfur fuel.
