Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Electronic Proving Ground, Fort Huachuca, Arizona is soliciting proposals for the following requirement (No Substitutes): 1 each; optical tracking lens. Specifications: System Type : Maksutov Cassegrain Catadioptric. Aperture: 7 inches , 180 mm, clear aperture. Focus: Remotely operated, 500 feet through infinity. Focal Length: Continously variable, 15.75 inches, 400mm, through 120 inches, 3050 mm. Tell back of zoom position and e xact E.F.L. is available via RS-422 serial communications. Geometrical f Ratio: f/2.25 @ 15.75 inch E.F.L. and linearly variable through f/16.9 @ 120 inch E.F.L. Neutral Density Filter System: Continuous, clear through 4.0 N.D. Serves as Auto-Iris with manual over-ride, or operator controlled illumination. System Power: 24 V D C. Illuminated Projected Reticle: Reticle pattern only appears when activated by operator. Iluumination is variable. Environmental Controls: Fully sealed and pressurized syste m. Optical Front End: Invar construction, ruggerized to withstand shockloads of 10 Gs and temperature compensated to maintain bore sight within plus or minus 5 arc seconds over plus or minus 50 degrees F temperature variations. Additional Items: Instal lation and configuration, internally mounted full color video camera system. Mounting plates for FPS-16 tracking radar mounting, X-Y camera platform for alignment adjustment, operator interface controller, RS-422 serial output, documentation and life cycl e supprt on all equipment and installation. A 7 inch aperture zoom system, temperature compensated, and utilizes RS-422 serial communications, which generates very precise data on focus distance and actual focal lengh settings of the lens during use. It is used for all tracking functions, including obtaining pertinent metric data, plus Star calibration. FOB DESTINATION FORT HUACHUCA, ARIZONA. Payment will be made by Government credit card under Net 30 Terms. Offerors shall include a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3,Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, and furnish Offeror's Tax Identification Number, CAGE Code, Central Contractor Registration Number, DU NS Number, and applicable FSC Codes with its offer.
