Description

This is a combined/solicitation notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is RFQ6070 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-11). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) intend to procure a Femtosecond Pulsed Laser. The purpose of this request is to obtain a laser to be installed on a Leica SP 5 Laser must be able to work with another femtosecond pulsed laser to be coupled to a single microscope for greater advances in the imaging of live tissues. The contractor laser highest output power must be between 690 nm to 1020 nm, voltage: 110vac/220 vac, power supply <10A/<6A, beam diameter at 1/e2: <2mm Tem, beam divergence, full angle: <lmrad, polarization > 500: 1 horizontal, umbilical length: 10ft (3m), closed-loop chiller:<10A/<6A, frequency: 60Hz/50Hz, The laser operation must specified at a nominal repetition rate of 80MHz. The laser must have a fixed, factory preset wavelength with the wave range. The North American Industry Classification System (NIACS) Code for this acquisition is 334516, and the small-business size standard is 500 employees. This is a firm fixed-price contract and the FOB terms are “Destination” and Net 30.
