- Description
- This project will rehabilitate the water supply system within Artashat town and designated surrounding villages and will support the further commercialization of Armenia Water Supply Company (AWSC) by improving water services and reducing unaccounted for water in the target area. By implementation of this project, USAID will increase the availability of cleaner water to more than 100,000 citizens of Artashat town and 27 villages in the surrounding area. The Contractor shall: (1) prepare a complete design package for the rehabilitation of the water supply facilities (water mains) of Artashat town and the 27 designated villages in the surrounding area; and (2) carry out the rehabilitation/construction works set forth in the design package. This will be a design/built contract with an expected duration of the Contract of eighteen months and estimated cost in the range of $1.5 to $2 million. Management of the contract will require close coordination with the AWSC, State Committee of Water Economy under the Ministry of Territorial Administration and with USAID.
