Description

Anticipated Issue Date: 12/1/2006. Anticipated Closing Date 12/21/2006, due to the upcoming holidays. This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System has a requirement for Ambulance transportation services. Contractor shall provide vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, transportation, equipment, and reports necessary to cover all ground ambulance services which will be defined in the schedule, statement of work and per the terms and conditions stated within. The performance is anticipated to begin January 1, 2007 through September 30, 2007 and two (2) one-year options. The NAICS code is 621910 and the business size standard is $6.5 million. The acquisition is being issued unrestricted. The RFP will be available on www.fedbizopps.gov under Department of Veterans Affairs. Potential offerors are encouraged to use this web site to obtain a copy of the RFP in lieu of requesting a paper copy. Request for paper copies or questions regarding this RFP must be in writing and faxed to (228)523-4324 attention: Melanie Hawley or emailed to Melanie.Hawley@med.va.gov. All requests must include RFP number, requestor's name, address, phone number, and an email address. By submitting a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the Government requirement to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database prior to award of any contract or purchase order. Information about CCR registration may be found at www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Award will be made on an all or none basis. Proposals will not be accepted by fascimile or email only in person or by mail.
