Description
Project Name: 646-07-100 Project Title: ALARM INTEGRATION Government seeking professional design services for an Alarm Integration project to consolidate medical center alarms. Design firm shall have the aide of consultative services of a specialized firm in medical alarms and alarm integration, including fire alarms. Project will replace existing alarms within VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, including all three sites, along with integrating annunciation point to the University Drive division. Project is mostly electrical in nature but will require some minor architectural finish repairs. Design shall be in compliance with all applicable building codes and VA design standards. All designs shall be compliant with space criteria referenced in VA Handbook 7610. All designs shall be accomplished in accordance with VA guidelines and specifications which are available on the internet at http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard. A/E shall pay particular attention to USAF, NFPA, BOCA and VA Handbook 7610 space criteria and VA Program Guide PG-18-14 ?Room Finishes, Door and Hardware Schedule?. The architect-engineer will make site visits as necessary to survey existing conditions as required to determine existing as-built conditions affecting this project. A/E shall field verify every aspect that relates to the project, coordinate visits with the Project Engineer. A/E must be proficient in the use of AutoCad 2000 and have access to Microsoft word 5.0 or higher. Estimated cost of construction is $1,000,000 - $2,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to within 60 miles of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Pittsburgh. Those interested firms, both small and large, within the area of consideration shall submit three (3) copies of current SF330 to the attention of Kim Gillespie (contracting Specialist) 04A1-H, VAPHS, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. The NAICS code is 541330 with the small business size standard of $4.5 million. Due date of SF330 is January 5, 2007 at 4:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Numbered notes #24.
