Description

ERICSSON/5/14/2007/FABRICATE HYDROPNEUMATIC TANK 1. Provide a Potable Water Hydropneumatic Tank in accordance with the attached drawing: T-AO 187 CLASS FLEET OILER POTABLE WATER HYDROPNEUMATIC TANK ASSY, DETS DWG NO. NAVSEA 533-6241015 a) The tank shall be a CLASS III pressure vessel. It shall be made of Steel, ASTM A-516 GR70, except as noted in enclosure (1). The design pressure of the vessel shall be 135 psi. The maximum allowable working pressure is 155 psi. The hydro pressure of the tank shall be 203 psi. The Maximum temperature is 250 degrees Fahrenheit. b) All material used in fabrication of the tank to be black, unpainted. The tank is to be painted using the following criteria after fabrication is complete. The tank interior is to be painted using 1 coat of Amercoat 233H buff @ 5-6 mils DFT plus 1 coat of Amercoat 233H off white @ 5-6 mils DFT, or equal. The tank exterior shall be painted using two (2) coats 5-6 mils DFT of Amercoat 385 epoxy, or equal. c) This tank is to be built to ASME requirements. This tank requires USCG and ABS inspection per 46 CFR. d) All supporting calculations for enclosure (1) have been done per 1983 ASME Code, Section VIII, Division I with 1983 summer addendum. e) Material certificates or proper part markings are required on all parts of the pressure vessel that form a pressure boundary, per ASME Code Section UGII NOTE: The required delivery for the tank is 14 May 2007.
