Description
Solicitation No. W81XWH-07-T-0036 will be issued on or about 18 December 2006 and proposals will be due on or about 22 December 2006 at 4:00 p.m. EST. The Government requirement is to identify complement inhibitors that limit hemorrhage- and resusci tation-associated injuries that have acceptable side effects and are accepted by FDA for clinical trials. Work will be performed at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Silver Spring, MD. Responsibilities encompass the design, execution, data c ollection, and analysis of experiments to determine the effect of IVIG in preventing adverse physiology and pathology in animals subjected to hemorrhage and resuscitation. Both rats and pigs are expected to be subjected to hemorrhage and resuscitation and the possible therapeutic effect of IVIG will be determined. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 541710 with a size standard not to exceed 500 employees. This will be 100% small business set-aside. No hard co pies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. All interested parties can view, download, and print a copy of the solicitation and any resulting amendments on or about 18 December 2006 on ASFI (Army Single Face to Industry). In accor dance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the Central Contractor Registation (CCR) database. CCR registration can be accomplished at the following website: www.ccr.gov. A C ommercial Service Firm-Fixed-Price or Labor Hour purchase order is planned.
