Description

Pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656) and the Department of Interior Acquisition Policy Release (DIAPR) 2004-01 "SBCDP Adjustment of Set-aside Policy, the National Park intends to issue an Request for Quotation on an unrestricted basis for the annual haul out, repair and the replacement of the transmissions on NPS Vessel known as "Miss Teak". The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 336611. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. GENERAL REQUIREMENT: The work consist of but not limited to: providing all labor, equipment, materials and incidental necessary to remove, clean, and paint including reinstalling both main engines/tranmissions; furnish and install two new Twin Disc MG5075A (Down Angle) transmissions; inspect, repair and modify the existing engine foundations; replace oil cooler, port and starboard. The contractor shall demonstate successful operation of the vessel upon completion of all work as outlined in the Scope of Work. The vessel can be inspected at the Government Boat Dock located at Gulf Islands National Seashore, 3500 Park Road, Ocean Springs, MS. The Request for Quotation number Q5320070035 will be released to the general public on or about January 11, 2007 at the following website address http://ideasec.nbc.gov. NO HARD COPIES OF THE REQUEST FOR QUOTATION WILL BE MAILED OR FAXED. ALL VENDORS QUOTES MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 12, 2007 FOR CONSIDERATION. A firm fixed price contract with a thirty (30) day performance period is anticipated. To be eligible for award, all contractor must be registered and active in the Central Contractor Registration (website http://www.ccr.gov); Online Representations and Certificates Application (ORCA) (website http://orca.bpn.gov) shall be required. All questions or comments regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing not later than seven (7) calendar days prior to bid opening to ensure an proper response.
