Description
Number Notes: 12, applies: The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is seeking proposals from business entities interested in supporting worldwide demand of Federal Stock Class (5340) fully competitive Low Security Padlocks. These items are used by all branches of the Armed Forces for various applications. Solicitation SPM5L5-07-R-0056 is being issued to support this initiative for various 5340 Low Security Padlocks for depot stock replenishment. This initiative will fall under FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Trade Agreement Act does apply. The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) will be required. The initial solicitation will require pricing for 35 core items only. The delivery requirement will be 90 days. This initiative has 8 additional items (Non Core) in the universe which may be added when demand for the items are required. An Addition and Deletion of Items clause will be incorporated. A listing of the Core items with Annual Estimated Quantities and also Non Core items can be found at http://www.dscp.dla.mil/gi/general/scp_ltc.htm. Prospective contractors should have Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capability. Subject solicitation will be issued on an Unrestricted basis with the resultant contract being an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for one (1) base year with four (4) one-year options. The estimated cost for the entire (5) year contract is $19,200,000.00. This award will be based on best value source selection procedures in which technical merit is essentially equal to cost or price. Solicitation SPM5L5-07-R-0056 is expected to be issued on February 1, 2007 and may not become available until the solicitation issue date. All items are to be manufactured in accordance with Commercial Item Descriptions (CIDs) which will be specified in the solicitation.
