Description
The Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) Equipment Maintenance Office (DSCR-SIE) located at Building 80 requires absorbent pads/mats in order to maintain a clean work area and to absorb any materials spilled during normal operations. The Equipment Maintenance Office also requires the removal and proper disposal or recycling of used absorbent pads accumulated every quarter. The Contractor shall provide new absorbing pads on a quarterly basis to the specified locations at building 80 located at the Defense supply Center Richmond. The pads that will be delivered shall be pig mats, P/N MAT235, 16 inch x 150' roll or an equivalent brand. It is estimated that that up to (10) rolls of pig mats, P/N MAT235 will be required every quarter. Delivery will be required on a quarterly basis and the first delivery and all subsequent deliveries will be coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative. On the date of delivery of clean absorbent pads, the Contractor shall provide services to package, transport and dispose or recycle the used absorbent pads accumulated at building 80. The quantity of used pads will generally not exceed the volume that can be stored in (4) 35 gallon drums. Used absorbent pads shall be disposed of or recycled in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations governing recycling or the disposal of solid waste. The contractor shall prepare a manifest for the waste absorbent pads using an appropriate non-hazardous waste manifest that must be signed by the DSCR Environmental Office. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed priced contract with a base period of 12 months from the date of contract award and will contain (4) one year option periods to extend the term of the contract. The solicitation will be issued on 1/12/2007.
