The comment period has ended, so please do not send additional non-disclosure agreements or access requests through the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) website. The information posted in FedTeDS is now outdated. </p> Unfortunately, due to the high level of interest in this requirement, it will not be possible to provide individual responses to all e-mail and telephone inquiries. At this time, please do not send capability statements, literature or other information about your firm?s qualifications, as it will not be possible to respond to such information. </p> We anticipate that a final RFP will be issued shortly. There will also be time provided for comments when the final RFP is issued, so if you did not have an opportunity to comment during the draft RFP comment period, you may provide comments on the final RFP. Amendments to the final RFP will be issued, if necessary. We?re also preparing step-by-step instructions on how to request access to the sensitive but unclassified (SBU) documents in the final RFP. </p> To receive automatic e-mail updates regarding this and other future CBP requirements, please be sure to register for the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service </p> http://www.fedbizopps.gov/EPSVendorRegistration.html</p> Thanks again for your interest and please stand by for further updates.</p> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p> U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) currently has a requirement for Outstanding Network Cabling Installation and Design (ONCID) at locations throughout the United States and is posting the attached draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for industry comment. ONCID will be procured on a competitive basis under the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program. Therefore, only firms with active SBA 8(a) certification will be eligible to participate in the competition. </p> ONCID will ensure on-going support for the implementation of a universal cabling schematic for voice, video, and data systems. Standardization is needed to ensure that all field personnel, regardless of the remoteness of the location, have the ability to access and send essential information through voice and data processing systems quickly and reliably. ONCID will include all necessary management, supervision, labor and materials to perform the site survey, topology designs, installation, testing, diagnosing and maintenance of data and voice communications cabling and equipment at more than 900 geographically dispersed CBP locations, including remote locations, historic buildings, and government-owned or government-leased buildings. Installation of wireless communications devices is also included. </p> Please see the attached draft RFP. The comment period for the draft RFP is 12-08-06 through 12-29-06.
