Description

This procurement is for full and open competition for the M59 Gas Particulate Filter Unit (GPFU), NSN: 4240-00-237-0223, Part Number: 5-19-6699, currently used on the shelter for the Patriot missile fire control system. The filter unit housing con tains the main fan, gas filters and particulate filters. Inner and outer access covers permit changing of the filters. The airflow valve, attached to the outside of the filter unit housing, controls the airflow between the filter unit, the shelter, and t he protective entrance. Award of a five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract is anticipated with a minimum guaranteed quantity of 5 each. FOB is destination. Estimated issue date is February 15, 2007. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hard copies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais .ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm NOTE: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/rece ipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. FIRST ARTICLE TESTING WILL BE REQUIRED. The following government furnished material and publication will be provided: Filter Set, Gas-Particulate NBC, 200 CFM (P/N PL5-19-6718) and/or Filter Set, Gas-Particulate NBC, 200 CFM (P/N PL5-19-6722) (these two items are interchangeable); Unit of Issue: Set, Quantity: 2 per M59 GPFU and Technical Manual (TM) 3-4240-324-20&P; Quantity: 1 per M59 GPFU. This solic itation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: ROCK-TACOM-TDP@conus.army.mil Request should contain CAGE CODE (if available), Com pany Name, Point of Contact, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, and Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet.
