- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award a contract on a non-competitive basis for the costs associated with the sponsoring and hosting of the 15th Annual Medicine Meets Virtual Reality Conference: MMVR 2007: In Vivo, In Vitro, In Silico: Designing the Next in Medicine , scheduled for February 6 through 9, 2007 in Long Beach, California at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach Hotel. The Conference is organized by Aligned Management Associates, Inc. The anticipated award will be made under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to Aligned Management Associates, Inc., 793-A Foothill Boulevard, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405-1699. Specifically, FAR 6.302-1(b)(2), states, the ex istence of limited rights in data&make the supplies&available from only once source. The USAMRMCs Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) will be sponsoring and hosting, for the seventh consecutive year, the Annual Medicine Meets Reality Conference. Aligned Management Associates, Inc., is the organizer of this conferen ce. AMA is a private, professional organization whose members, both military and civilian, have joined in supporting the goals and objectives of the U.S. Army. They are uniquely familiar with all aspects of military procedures and requirements for Medica l Modeling & Simulation (MM&S), which is the focus of this conference. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
